Located between the departments of Champagne and Burgundy, at an equal distance of 30 kms to Colombey-les-deux-Eglises (home and burial place of General Charles de Gaulle), and to Langres, city of history and art, l’Hermitage St Roch in Arc-en-Barrois is a house rich in history.
Set in the vestige of an ancient Franciscan convent, l’Hermitage St Roch is a maison d’hote located on a green hilltop, in an idyllic and peaceful environment ideal to relax and to unwind.
The accommodation is of high quality; the large double bedrooms and the sitting rooms are tastefully decorated in the spirit and style of a family home.
From the well-exposed terraces as well as from each bedroom, one discovers the splendid and picturesque view of the Valley of Aujon winding into a well-known forest rich in game. Equally the terraces overlook the golf course found within a walking distance.
To take a walk, to breathe fresh and clean air, to raise one’ spirit… With more than one hectare of forest for each inhabitant, the Haute Marne is not only a paradise for lovers of nature and patrimony, it is also a place for those fond of their food.
There is no sincere love than the love of food. (George Bernard Shaw)
